Wallaroo is located 160 km north-northwest of Adelaide. It is one of three towns, along with Kadina and Moonta, which forms the Copper Triangle. Wallaroo is a seaside town with a growing population made up of families, retirees, holiday makers and those employed in the area through fishing, farming and health industries.

Dr Petrus Du Toit
Dr Du Toit is a familiar face to our region. We welcomed his return to the Copper Coast in March 2020.
Dr DuToit trained in South Africa and has many years experience in Trauma, Anaesthetics, Obstetrics and General Practice. He has a special interest in Paediatrics, Chronic Disease, and Dermatology.
Dr Shuayeb Islam
Dr Shuayeb Islam has graduated from Bangladesh with many years experience in General Practice overseas.
Dr Shuayeb enjoys General Practice and has always had a passion to work as a rural doctor since migrating to Australia.
He has a special interest in paediatric medicine.
Outside of medicine he likes watching and playing cricket and enjoys travelling.

Dr Irfan Murtaza

Dr Irfan Murtaza is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of South Africa and a Member of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Dr Irfan brings 28+ years of diverse medical experience to the Copper Coast. He graduated as a medical practitioner in 1996 and completed his Fellowship in Family Medicine in 2008 in South Africa.
He has extensive Emergency Medicine, Surgical, and General Practice experience, gained through his work in primary, secondary, and tertiary care settings, including service in mobile clinics across underserved rural and remote communities in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys swimming, playing squash, and travelling.
