From the 1st November 2025 our Practice will bulk-bill all Medicare eligible patients (those who have a current and valid Medicare Card)
You will be asked to ‘assign your benefit’ to Medicare via our TYRO machine before leaving the Practice.
Please note there may be an out of pocket cost for procedures – please ask reception for further information.
What is MyMedicare?
MyMedicare is a voluntary patient registration program that aims to formalise the relationship between patients and their healthcare providers
Healthcare providers include your:
- General Practice
- General Practitioner / regular Doctor
- Primary care teams
By registering as a patient of our Practice and selecting your preferred GP, additional funding will be available from the Government to assist your primary care team in delivering the care you need
Registering with MyMedicare is voluntary and free
Registering for MyMedicare is a quick and simple process that offers benefits such as:
- Greater continuity of care with your doctor
- Longer Medicare Benefit Scheme (MBS) funded telehealth consultations with your GP
- Improved health outcomes through formalised relationships

How to Register:
It’s simple – you can either register online or in person at our Practice
Online via MyGov
- Sign into MyGov and select Medicare
- Select ‘Register for MyMedicare’
- Select Owen Terrace Medical Practice under ‘search for your practice’
- Select your preferred GP
- Submit your registration, then follow the prompts
